During Blue Plate Math, we started a new unit of addition computation. In the math centre, the students are practicing with concepts of mass and greater than/less than values. The journal topic this week asks students to reflect on good smells from the kitchen and family time there. We are retelling a fairy tale story entitled “Porridge for Everyone.”
We started a new Science unit entitled “Hot and Cold Temperatures.” Please see the science section of this blog for the student learning outcomes of this unit (I can statements).
We have been asked to create a presentation for the Christmas concert that is on Thursday, December 11. Our class will be creating a read aloud of a wonderful Robert Munsch story. We will be taping this read aloud as a video to present at the Christmas Concert. Taping will begin on November 28. Please help your child memorize his/her lines so he/she can perform his/her best for the character or narrator.
Thank you for continuing to help your child be successful in his/her learning! Have a great week!
