During Blue Plate Math, we are starting a new unit that explores the complimentary computations of addition and subtraction. In the math centre, the students are practicing patterning and geometry. The journal topic this week asks the students to imagine they are a mouse in a busy department store and write about their five senses while there. We are retelling a story entitled “Olive, the Other Reindeer.”
Not all of the students have brought their materials for testing their device in science, so we will test only those who have brought their materials.
We are continuing our work in the social studies unit entitled “Looking at People.” Please see the Social Studies link on this blog to view the student learning outcomes for this unit.
Thank you for continuing to help your child be successful in his/her learning! Have a great week!
