“The fear of losing control leads parents to overuse ineffective discipline strategies and Band-Aid tactics to control kids, which in turn has the opposite effect on the children” (p. 69).

This week: PLEASE BRING YOUR SCIENCE MATERIALS ASAP.
We will retell a book entitled “Doctor DeSoto” and write a journal entry about a great smell coming from the kitchen. In math, we focus on multiple strands of grade level concepts with a specific learning center focus on place value. We continue our science unit entitled “Hot and Cold Temperatures.” The students have their own copy of this unit on their google drive and can access it from home (via their Wolf Creek email account) if they want to enrich their studies of this topic at home.
Library day is Tuesday, November 28 day 3. We continue to practice digital citizenship while on Chromebooks (click, view, search, type—appropriate and expected behavior). Have a great week!
