“If there’s any trick to parenting, it is to keep our children from losing that internal drive” (p. 22).
Lahey, J. (2015). The Gift of Failure. Short Books.
This week: We will retell a book entitled “The Teeny Tiny Ghost” and write a journal entry about how to carve a pumpkin. In math, we focus on multiple strands of grade level concepts with a specific learning center focus on subtraction. We will continue our first Social Studies unit entitled “Looking at Places.” The students have their own copy of this unit on their google drive and can access it from home (via their Wolf Creek email account) if they want to enrich their studies of this topic at home.
Library Day is day 3 Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Please sign up online for a parent teacher interview scheduled appointment. These interviews take place Tuesday (3pm-6pm) and Thursday (3:30pm-7pm) this week. We continue to practice digital citizenship while on Chromebooks (click, view, search, type—appropriate and expected behavior). Have a great week!
