“Students who don’t quiz themselves (and most do not) tend to overestimate how well they have mastered class material” (p. 17).
Brown, P. C., Roediger, H. L., & McDaniel, M. A. (2014). Make it stick. Harvard University Press.
This week: We will retell a book entitled “Hester” and write a journal entry about how to create a great sandwich. In math, we focus on multiple strands of grade level concepts with a specific learning center focus on addition computation. We will continue our first Social Studies unit entitled “Looking at Places.” The students have their own copy of this unit on their google drive and can access it from home (via their Wolf Creek email account) if they want to enrich their studies of this topic at home.
Library Day is day 3 Thursday, November 2, 2017. We continue to practice digital citizenship while on Chromebooks (click, view, search, type—appropriate and expected behavior). Have a great week!
